III. How to register to join Amazon Affiliate

1. Step 1: Sign up for the Amazon Associates Program

To participate in the program, you need to have a website or blog. If you don't have one, you'll need to create a website or blog before you want to sign up for the program. Note: Your website must meet the requirements outlined in Operating Policies.

2. Step 2: Complete your account information

When you visit the Amazon Associates homepage and click “Join Now for Free”, you will be prompted to log in to your existing Amazon account or create a new one. You need to fill in all your account information including your name, email, and phone number. A code will be sent to your email. Check and paste the code, press "Next" and continue to fill in the missing information:

• Payee Name: Your full name.
• Address Line 1: Your address. This doesn't matter much if you don't receive the Check (usually never).
• City: The city you are living in.
• State: Your city/county/district.
• ZIP or Postal Code: Enter the zip code of the city you live in
• Country: Vietnam
• Phone Number: Your phone number, for example, if it is 0983xxxxxx, fill in (+84) 983xxxxxx (Replace 0 with +84). Fill in your phone number EXACTLY, because in the next step you will have to verify your account by phone.
• Who is the main contact for this account: Select “The payee listed above”

Then, on the left side, fill in your website in the Enter Your Website(s) section (multiple domains can be accepted). The mobile section on the right does not need to be filled in. You click “Add” to bring the domain down. Then press “Next”.

You choose "No" in the section below. This is a commitment that you do not target children under the age of 13 (Amazon policy). Then click “Confirm”.

3. Step 3: Add your website description

Next, you need to share information about all the websites that you will use to promote the products and services offered by Amazon.

• What is your preferred Associates Store ID: You can enter a random character, this is the tracking ID code of the affiliate link later.
• Your website list: Enter the site address as in the previous step
• Which of the following topic best describes your website or the mobile app: You choose a category for your niche site (e.g. home/pets...)
• What type of Amazon items do you intend to list on your website or mobile app (e.g. home/garden...)
• What type of site is your website or the mobile app: Usually we will choose “Blog” or “Content or Niche Website”

4. Step 4: Drive traffic to your website

Amazon will also ask you how you plan to drive traffic to your website. There are some questions like:

• How do you usually build your links?
• How many customers per month do you usually have?
• How do you use your website or mobile apps to generate income?

This information is important to help you build a comprehensive strategy. You can drive traffic to your website using social media, SEO, blogs, shopping portals, or even paid search strategies.

5. Step 5: Choose a payment method

Then, you will be given the choice of the payment method you want. You will also be asked to share your tax identification number. (You can skip this step and choose to turn to the next step.)

6. Step 6: Start creating your link

Finally, you'll need to create links that you can use to lead customers to the Amazon site. You should have a personal page that you can use to track your overall performance. This will also give you an overview of your total clicks, earnings, and access to the information you can use to track trends over time.

It is relatively easy to create an affiliate link using the Amazon Associate program. You just need to click on the product link in the top banner, add the ASIN of the product or service, then click the button to generate the link.
